Alto Giro optimizes business with iTAG RFID solution

The gains from reducing picking operations time are added to the guarantee of product authenticity and accuracy in shipments, including international trade, thanks to the integrated use of GS1 standards

The clothing company Alto Giro, de Maringa (Brazil), adopted iTAG Tecnologia radio frequency identification (RFID) solution, the first authorized integrator in Brazil to use the international EPC GEN2 standard, from GS1 Brasil – Associação Brasileira de Automação. With RFID tags, Alto Giro was able to reduce the time of picking operations, in addition to guaranteeing the authenticity of its products, including in exports.

Danilo Gallo, technology director at Alto Giro, who was responsible for implementing the technology within the company, explains that the partnership with iTAG was important to guarantee the achievements. In an exclusive interview with IoP Journal TV, Gallo pointed the benefits achieved with RFID and also the challenges he had to face to achieve the results planned at the beginning of the project.
